A North East security expert has been invited to speak at the first ever International forum for Physical Nuclear Security in the Ukraine.
Peter Houlis, managing director of 2020 Vision Ltd, has been invited to the conference in Kiev by the Scientific and Research Informational-Analytical Centre.
Also known as ‘LEX,’ this Centre along with the Ministry of fuel and Energy in the Ukraine, has organised the conference to bring together the world’s leading experts to discuss all aspects of nuclear security in terms of national and international safety.
Mr Houlis said: ‘I have been making regular trips to Eastern Europe for several years now having been invited by many state organisations to advise on security topics from CCTV to systems integration.
‘The invitation to speak at this conference, however, came as both a surprise and an honour. The list of delegates does read like a who’s who of security and it seems that the hard work we have put in to building up our profile in former Soviet Union countries is paying dividends.’
Peter Houlis is a Board member of the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) and a Member of the British Standards Institute (BSI) Technical Committee which is responsible for creating European Standards for CCTV
Formed in 1992 2020 Vision, provides solutions in the CCTV and integrated security fields. It is one of the UK’s leading companies involved in the design and implementation of digital security.
‘It is widely recognised that the UK is one of the world’s most advanced countries when it comes to CCTV and we are at the forefront of selling this expertise overseas,’ added Mr Houlis.
