North East CCTV firm 2020 Vision, has appointed a new sales expert to cope with the demand of its expanding client base after securing a major contract with Nissan.  2020 Vision has implemented a new CCTV system for national car manufacturer Nissan, which will protect more than £22.5 million worth of vehicle stock.

The revamped security system will monitor over 15,000 vehicles across the Washington-based 65-acre distribution site, which is Nissan’s biggest in the UK and 2020’s largest scale surveillance project for a manufacturing site to date.

As a result of 2020’s recent successes, Peter Gundry will join the North Shields-based company as Sales Consultant to drive new business and to provide bespoke surveillance solutions for its existing clients.

Peter from Houghton-le-Spring has been working in the security industry for 35 years, where he gained expert knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, access control, intruder and fire alarms, and emergency lighting.

In his new role, Peter will use his experience and expert knowledge to advise regional and national firms such as Nissan on the most effective solutions to fulfil their security requirements.

Peter Gundry said: “I am delighted to have joined 2020 as they enter a new phase of growth and be part of a North East firm that continues to deliver phenomenal results in the UK and Eastern Europe.”

Peter Houlis, MD at 2020 Vision said: “Peter has in-depth understanding of the issues surrounding the industry, such as compliance with our high standards of quality and performance, along with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new products and technology.

“He certainly has the passion and expertise gained from 35 years of security experience which makes him an asset to 2020 Vision.”
