A £3.5 million CCTV provider has expanded by opening its first office outside the North East, and has appointed the first member of staff to begin driving new business along the M62 corridor.

North Shields-based 2020 Vision has appointed security expert, Dave Allen to head up its new office in West Yorkshire, in a bid to transform the firm into a £10 million business within five years.

Dave from Hull has worked in the surveillance industry for 25 years on national security brands such as ADT.

In his role as sales consultant for 2020 Vision, he will actively work to establish the 2020 brand and expertise throughout Yorkshire.

He will advise and guide clients through detailed designs of integrated security systems, as well coordinating new business projects and initiatives.

Dave Allen said: “I am excited to join 2020 as they embark on a new phase of growth into Yorkshire and I’m eager to begin implementing a strategic sales campaign to develop links with major corporations across the region.”

Peter Houlis, managing director at 2020 Vision said: “Dave has in-depth knowledge of the Yorkshire market and is passionate about the issues surrounding the security industry, which will be vital for 2020’s transition into a new region.”

2020 Vision was established in the North East in 1992 and specialises in security systems such as CCTV, remote site monitoring, access control and concierge services. It has provided security in a diverse range of environments such as hospitals, casinos, universities, sports stadia, government offices and a seabird island.
