North East CCTV specialists, 2020 Vision have won a major contract with Northumbrian Water.

Northumbrian Water has commissioned the North Shields based security specialists to provide a major overhaul to its surveillance systems at both its Pity Me head office and Washington sites.

2020 Vision will supply, install and maintain a complete networked CCTV structure across both sites with a total of 36 cameras being installed. The upgrade will provide centralised management surveillance in order to further protect Northumbrian Water staff, visitors and property. It will use the very latest in digital recording technology.

Peter Houlis, managing director of 2020 Vision, said: “We are delighted to have secured such a prestigious contract. Security is extremely important for a company as large as Northumbrian Water and it is testament to the reputation of 2020 Vision that we have been selected to implement this project. It further adds to the company’s growing profile in the blue chip sector.”

2020 Vision was established in 1992 and specialises in security systems such as CCTV, remote site monitoring, access control and concierge services. It has provided security in a diverse range of environments such as hospitals, casinos, universities, sports stadia, government offices and even a seabird island.

It currently has an annual turnover of £3.5 million and aims to make itself a £10 million business inside five years. The company has recently expanded into Yorkshire and the North West region by opening a new office in Huddersfield.
